Challenges Facing Education Today

The biggest challenge facing education today may not be the lack of educational resources, but rather the lack of motivation of students to learn, or the wrong direction of enthusiasm for students to indulge in video games. After a more in-depth exploration, we found that many problems come from individuals' lack of the important ability to recognize and manage their own passion and motivation - PQ (Passion Quotient), also known as passion motivation quotient.

Students who lack motivation to learn because they do not understand the intrinsic motivation (Motivation DNA) of their talent and lack the opportunity to use intrinsic motivation to exercise their ability to learn autonomously. They have relied heavily on the environment provided by schools and parents since childhood to drive learning by extrinsic motivation. Students who rely on external constraints for a long time are like relying on wheelchairs since childhood. Even in college or adulthood, they may still not have mature PQ "core muscles" and cannot stand by themselves. No matter how good your performance is, once you encounter setbacks, or external constraints, rewards, and punishments disappear, and the wheelchair you rely on for support collapses, you may lose your sense of direction and motivation. Therefore, external constraints must be continuously strengthened to maintain self-improvement.

Another common problem is that students' enthusiasm is misused; because they lack a holistic (holistic) understanding of themselves, they cannot manage and make good use of their PQ, and enthusiasm is like a runaway train. Some students are devoted to video games, while others mistakenly believe that the field of their ability is their long-term interest, and they can't go on in the end.

PQ Education 3-Stage Solution

Based on Passion Quotient motivation science, PQ is a three-stage complete solution to assist students and teaching staff from self-discovering, individual development, and teambuilding.

Finding Me. Building We. Own Your Journey.

The first stage: Self-positioning. Finding Motivation and Passion of Students (Finding Me)

  • For students who lack interest in learning, this stage helps them to find their real enthusiasm for learning with the passion quotient. This is done by analyzing the highest and lowest motivation DNA, understanding the reasons why we lose motivation, and learn to adjust the development direction to balance high and low motivations.

  • For students who are already good at learning, this stage uses the high motivation DNA to focus on the pursuit of excellence where natural motivation is and match career interests. We remind students to avoid viewing achievements as interests, giving up halfway, and wasting precious resources.

The second stage: Development Potential. (Develop Strength)

  • PQ Education's STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) version of the quiz helps students analyze their STEAM potential. The AI data center helps teachers track the growth process of personal motivation DNA and compare it with district data/big data.

  • PQLife Edition emphasizes PQ management of social emotional learning and self-awareness. It helps students learn to manage and mature with their PQ.

The third stage: Teamwork. (Building We)

  • PQ Passion Camp helps students practice the combination of PQ and STEAM potential and give full play to their own advantages in teamwork.

  • The educator team building workshop uses Team PQ tools to find out the strengths and weaknesses of the team and the best way to work together.

Everybody has passion. No matter who you are or what you do in life, you have your own distinctive passions. But identifying these passions is not always a simple task, and often depends on mere chance to identify the things in life we’re most passionate about. Even then, deciding what we’re passionate about and learning how to take action on it is often highly subjective and dependent upon opinionated advice or particular circumstances – or to put it simply – luck.

We find ourselves seeking advice on what subjects to study in school, what colleges and college majors we should choose to focus on, and eventually this all leads to choosing a career path and even a family. But how do we know we’re heading in the right direction?
